What is a good camcorder to make professional looking short films?

I want a video camera around $ 1000, which can be used to make excellent films. I wish the Canon quality and 7DS. Thank you.

   For that price range you can get a Canon T2i. The video quality is comparable to the 7D, but the ISO performance can’t compete with the 7D. FPS selection is also very limited…. but if you stick a 50mm 1.8 on the T2i and use some well controlled lighting and stabilization you can produce some decent results.
